The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is one of the most spectacular events on the Formula 1 calendar, with the race held at sunset and into the night at Yas Marina Circuit. Here’s everything you need to know to plan your ultimate Abu Dhabi Grand Prix experience.

About Yas Marina Circuit

Yas Marina Circuit was purpose-built for F1 and opened in 2009. The 5.554km layout features 21 corners and the unique visual of cars passing under the glowing W Hotel. The current layout, revised for the 2021 race, has been much better received by drivers and fans.

Tickets

The Main Grandstand on the start/finish straight offers excellent views of the start, pit stops, and finish. The North Grandstand overlooking Turn 1 is popular with dedicated race fans. Hospitality packages range from AED 5,000 to AED 50,000+ per person.

The Race Weekend

The Abu Dhabi GP weekend typically runs Thursday to Sunday in late November. The race start is timed for late afternoon so it concludes after dark under the circuit’s spectacular lighting — one of F1’s most visually stunning experiences.

Beyond the Race

The Abu Dhabi GP features world-class Yasalam After-Race Concerts on Friday, Saturday, and race night, included with race tickets. Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld are also open throughout the weekend.

Fan Tips

Arrive early on race day. Bring ear protection. The heat in November is pleasant at around 24 to 28 degrees. Book hotels on Yas Island as early as possible — they sell out months in advance.
